Meet the Micro Acrobot. MakerBeamXS inspired Daniel Simu to build a Micro Acrobot. He built a tiny robot toy combining MakerBeamXS, 3D prints, aluminium tubes and an acrylic panel. It has the same joints, hands and feet as it's big brother. This allows you to pose it for the same tricks. A really fun design from Daniel Simu.
We recently received photos (blog) and a short video (instagram) from a professional pyrotechnician who used MakerBeamXL to build the frame for a custom flame-effect installation. For the French Cup of Robotics 2026 and Eurobot 2026 CRIÉ designed and built a robot capable of manipulating large Jenga blocks and flipping them. They send us over some pictures of the robot during the building process.
